Methods for weight loss

There are a lot of people bothered by the fact that they are fat. Obesity is not something new, it is a real problem and it has been around for a long time. The difference between before and now is that today, there are more people becoming obese and the rate is still on the rise. More and more people are joining the ranks of obese every day. Thus, high demand for products, counsellors and methods for weight loss are in high demand and people are willing to pay good money for these.

There are available weight loss products which range from pills to food supplements, clinics that offer diet plans along with their nutrition supplements and other products. There are also teas marketed as a good way to lose weight fast and easy. These products have one thing in common; they all promise that they can help you lose weight.

The difference is how they do it. May it be by increasing metabolism, helping the body burn more fat, while other products even claim that they can reduce the consumer’s appetite and there are products that claim they block the absorption of fat. Some products even give scientific study which supports their claims.

If you will notice, most diet supplements and pills always couple their product advertisement with the line “along with proper exercise.” Every day physical activity would already result in a huge and noticeable change. And you only need to couple this with eating proper food which is healthy and would compliment your weight loss program. The important thing to remember however, is that losing weight is not about losing it now then going back to your old lifestyle; deciding to lose weight is deciding to change your whole life from now on and not just for a few months. This is to ensure that all the weight you were able to lose will not come back and you can enjoy a longer healthier life.

Caffeine – friend or enemy?

The caffeine is a soft stimulator, which improves brain activity and increases the excitation processes. A problem could arise in case of caffeine denial, because it presumes dependence. Caffeine causes insomnia and accelerates the mineral substances activity in the bone tissues. In predisposed, sensitive people it provokes migraine. In huge doses caffeine leads to tremors and strong heart beating.

The caffeine mainly contains in café and tea, but also in chocolate, coca-cola and in some medicines against flu and pain.

Caffeine stimulates the heart and central nerve system and could improve the intellectual activity ability, when the brain is under pressure. It stimulates the secretion activity of the stomach, increases the circulation of the blood and contributes to lung hyper-ventilation.

In spite of its relative non-toxicity, sometimes arises dependence to caffeine. High doses provoke tremors, sweating, stronger heart beating, hurried pulse, insomnia and migraine attacks.

We do not have to deny from caffeine sharply, because it can leads to headache, irritability and over-excitement.

The caffeine, which contains in beverages and chocolates, provoke insomnia in children and the kid can hardly asleep if he/she eats one chocolate or drunk 2-3 cups of coca-cola.

People, which have had heart attack also is not necessary to give up from caffeine, but have to drink minimal doses of café and tea. Doctors advise to have no more than 6 cups or café or tea daily. People with high blood pressure or with heart problems have to lessen or even to exclude café or tea consumption.
Café contains the highest caffeine dose, but latter is in a base of chocolate composition, tea and some medicines.

The caffeine content in one cup (150 ml) of in 125 gr. product:

- cafe 115 mg,
- Nescafe - 65 mg,
- cacao - 4 mg,
- tea - 40 mg,
- coca-cola - 18 mg,
- chocolate beverage – 3mg,
- café decaffeinate – 3 mg.

- dark chocolate - 80 mg,
-
milk chocolate – 20 mg,
-

According to some recent researches, people who drink more than 5 cups café daily suffer in small cases from heart attack, than these which consume café in little doses. These results are surprising, but still are not enough to be taken entirely without questions caffeine consumption.
